Halloween 2009

Obviously these pictures are out of order...somewhat the story of my life these days! I will be honest with you. I was very excited for Brent to be able to go down to Eugene this weekend to participate in ESPN Gameday and to go to the USC vs U of O football game (because you all know that I would have been right beside him if I could have been). But on the other hand, I was also secretely not looking forward to "Halloweening" with the girls all weekend on my own. Looking back on how it all played out, my eyes were opened to just how much people love us! To start the weekend on Friday evening before Brent headed out of town, our neighbor Jeff called to see if the girls would like to go "Trunk-or-Treating" with them at their church. So Brent took them to that before he left for Lebanon. Then, on Saturday morning, Papa Dukes rang the doorbell just before 10am! He drove all the way up to watch Logann's soccer game. Luckily, the weather wasn't miserable (I sent him to Freddy's to buy a back-up rain gear and an umbrella just in case because I couldn't find ours!) And, he played photographer during the game and captured great picturs of almost all of Logann's goals...4! After the game, we went out to lunch with Coach Bob and Coach Natalie! Then Bob and Mary invited the girls and I over to their house for dinner...which was an unexpected event for our day too! So I dressed the girls all up in their costumes, made the first stop at our friend Miranda's house, then to Bob and Mary's. They sat me down on the couch, let me watch the Duck game, served me dinner, played with the girls, then insisted on taking them Trick-or-Treating around their neighborhood! I think Bob played hide-n-seek with the girls for at least an hour! It turned out to be a very relaxing day! I am very thankful for all the help that I have been receiving during this last part of pregnancy. THANK YOU EVERYBODY!
