It Snowed Again!

It snowed a couple of inches this morning! After Logann got home from preschool we went out to build a "snow-duck!" The girls helped by patting the snow, and I did the rolling! That is kinda hard work! Usually Brent does the honors!
On another note...I don't know how well Peyton's nap is going to go this afternoon. I'll explain! I decided this morning that it is time to have Peyton give up her binky. Tomorrow we are going to Hubbard to visit Aunt Amy and Cousin Sydney. I heard a good idea from a friend the other day. She said to have your toddler give all of their binkies to another baby that they know, and that could be the end of it. So this morning while Logann was in preschool, Peyton and I went on a binky hunt and gathered them all up and put them in a cute little gift bag for Baby Sydney. Peyton was agreeable the entire time and was saying, "here ya go Sydney" and "baby Sydney's mi-mi's" (Peyton also calls them "mi-mi's) I just put her down in her crib for her nap and closed the door, and she started crying for her binky. And about 5 minutes later, she is still crying...that is why I am blogging...to try and keep my ears off of her crying, but I can still hear her :( I will keep you posted after our visit to Hubbard. We will either give Syd the gift bag, or we will be returning home with all of the mi-mi's! Oh...the crying stopped...that is good news! Tonight might be another struggle...good ol' bed time without a binky...could be bad news bears!

Dancing at the Ball!

Grandma and Papa Gabel came up for a visit this last weekend, and the girls decided to dance for them! I don't know how many times we had to listen to the theme song from Tarzan (thanks for the birthday present Matt & Jo!) The girls just love to dance and sing to their new soundtracks from all the Disney Movies!
When we woke up on Sunday morning, there were two inches of snow on the ground! Of course, the girls were so excited! Logann asked if it was Christmas again! Grandma got all bundled ("bungled" as Logann calls it) up and played in the snow with the girls. It was a fun-filled weeked!

Logann's Birthday Party

Logann had a fantastic time at her birthday party. We had it at Play Park this year, and we loved every minute of it. The kids ran and played and they all seemed to really enjoy each other. The adults were able to stand around and visit. She enjoyed opening her gifts, especially the princess toys. She stayed up that night until 11pm playing with everything. We could tell that she was starting to get tired, and she knew it as well...she came up to me and told me that she was tired and ready to go to bed! Happy 4th Birthday little Princess! We love you!

Logann's 4th Birthday!

Happy 4th Birthday Logann!
On her actual birthday, we went out for dinner to Red Robin! She wasn't sure about how that servers sang to her...she told us that wasn't the Happy Birthday song! They sang the usual Red Robin version which involves clapping and an much faster pace! She had a great time opening her gifts from Peyton and Mom and Dad. Peyton got her Horton Hears a Who! We watched the movie after we got home from dinner...very cute movie! I ordered Safeway's sugar cookies for her to share at preschool the next day, so we had those dessert instead of cake. She made a wish and blew out all 4 candles, then licked all the frosting off her cookie! Peyton did the same thing...frosting all licked off, and nothing but a soggy sugar cookie left over! Logann was so happy with her birthday evening, that on the way home, out of the blue, she told us "I just love my life!" The crazy things kids say!

Happy New Year's!

After most of our Christmas snow melted away, we were able to make the trip down to Lebanon to spend New Year's with the Dukes! Even though it was New Year's weekend, it was another Christmas event for the girls. Logann got a new camera and some princess dress up accessories. Peyton got a new stroller for her baby doll and a tunnel/tent system to play in (which is now set up in our family room downstairs...and takes up all the space!) On our drive home, we hit the Tigard/Tualatin area, and were surprised to see that it had snowed once again! Then, on Sunday evening (the picture of us girls in the hot-tub) it decided to dump another inch and a half! Crazy weather here in the Couve!

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day was awesome! The Millhollen's came over and spent the whole evening with us. We had the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixin's! It was so much fun to prepare such a special dinner for everyone! Hannah and Natalie ( or Hannalie and Natalie as Logann's calls them) got in the hot tub with Logann and Peyton while the grown ups cleaned up and prepared to play games. We all had a wonderful evening together! We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas this year too!

Look What Santa Brought!!!

Santa brought the girls a dollhouse! They were so excited that words cannot even begin to give you the true picture of their reaction! Peyton asked Santa for a baby doll, and Logann asked for a silver bell. They also received those items, but the dollhouse took the cake! Christmas morning was wonderful. It even snowed from about 7:30 am until 1:30 pm. Mom and dad (George & Connie) arrived in the afternoon to spend a few days with us. The Millhollens came over for Christmas dinner....more pictures to follow!
