After having Papa's special pancakes for breakfast on Monday, I thought of a really fun idea...to take the girls over to Coastal Farms in Albany to look at the baby chicks! Well, Papa had a different idea in mind! He wanted to buy them, not look at them! So, we came home with 18 chicks, made a box, set up a heat lamp, found a waterer and feeder...and there you have it! In 4-5 months we hope to have fresh eggs! Later that day, Uncle Howard and Aunt Lois came in to visit and to see the girls. Then Logann had a brilliant idea...she wanted to make shrimp gumbo for dinner (like in Princess and the Frog, of course!) So we went to good ol' allrecipes.com and found a pretty good recipe for gumbo. Such an imagination! She even gave it a couple of shots of Tobasco Sauce like Tiana did in the movie!
