The girls and I took a trip to the farm for a couple of days last week. It was unplanned, so the girls were pretty excited to see me packing things up that morning! It didn't take them long to guess where I was taking them either...they LOVE going to Grandma and Papa Gabel's farm! Papa was just getting back from his rafting trip with Uncle Jeremy. Papa is a collector...he had a bucket full of "trinkets" he had found on the trip. Rocks, coins, metal things, you name it he found it! The girls had a great time looking through all of it. They couldn't wait to go out and feed their chickens with papa too! We couldn't believe how big they've grown in the last few weeks! They are going to start laying eggs in another month or so, and that will be even more exciting! It was a bonus to see new baby pigs too...only a week old! And because papa didn't find enough things on his trip, he decided to get the metal detector and dig for gold in front of the farm house with the girls! That hobby is pretty fun for the girls! They found a huge horse shoe! Uncle Josh is in town helping with the summer work on the farm, so it was really nice to hang out with him too! The girls just love Uncle Josh! All in all, it was a great couple of days spent down on the farm!
