Peyton's Field Trip to the Fire Department

Peyton's preschool class went to the Felida Fire Department this year!  It is so fun to see the looks on the kids' faces...some are happy, some are excited, some are very cautious, and some are almost afraid!  I wouldn't say that Peyton was afraid, but she was definitely cautiously interested!

Grandma Gabel's Birthday!

This year Grandma Gabel's birthday was on a Saturday!  It worked out perfectly because Logann had a soccer game and the Ducks had an away game so they were able to come spend the day with us!  Grandma got new shoes...with ducky colors to wear to the games!

Bye Bye Summer...

You would think that taking down the pool at the end of summer would be a sad event.  Not for Raegan!  For her, it was just another chance to play in the water...even though it was pretty cold water!  She's a smart one...she has her floaty on because she was getting in the hot tub to warm up between pictures!

Peyton's First Day of Second Year Preschool

Yes, it's true...Peyton is in her last year of preschool...which means she'll be in KINDERGARTEN next year!  That's all she talks about!  It is so fun to have her in Preschool twice a week in the afternoons because it means I get to be with her every morning of the week, plus all day on MWF!  We've started a new reading program at home and she is doing so well!  AND she loves it!  "Momma, can we do my lesson now?"  is a very common statement from her throughout the day!

Zoo Trip

It is so nice to live so close to a great zoo!  Brent was out of town for a leadership conference in Gettysburg, so the girls and I decided to head to the zoo for the day!  Each time we go, we try to see parts that we didn't have time for on the previous trip.  It never fails...they always lead me to their favorites...the lions, feeding the "colorful birds", sea lions, otters, elephants, monkeys, penguins, polar bears, and the stinky bats...why the stinky bats???

Logann's First Day of First Grade!

We still cannot believe that our little girl is a first grader!  Now that we are over a month into the school year, I still find myself missing her during the day!  Peyton took a long time adjusting as well...she misses her playmate!  On the other hand, Logann LOVES school and is eager to get up and get ready every morning!
