Happy New Year's!

After most of our Christmas snow melted away, we were able to make the trip down to Lebanon to spend New Year's with the Dukes! Even though it was New Year's weekend, it was another Christmas event for the girls. Logann got a new camera and some princess dress up accessories. Peyton got a new stroller for her baby doll and a tunnel/tent system to play in (which is now set up in our family room downstairs...and takes up all the space!) On our drive home, we hit the Tigard/Tualatin area, and were surprised to see that it had snowed once again! Then, on Sunday evening (the picture of us girls in the hot-tub) it decided to dump another inch and a half! Crazy weather here in the Couve!

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day was awesome! The Millhollen's came over and spent the whole evening with us. We had the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixin's! It was so much fun to prepare such a special dinner for everyone! Hannah and Natalie ( or Hannalie and Natalie as Logann's calls them) got in the hot tub with Logann and Peyton while the grown ups cleaned up and prepared to play games. We all had a wonderful evening together! We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas this year too!

Look What Santa Brought!!!

Santa brought the girls a dollhouse! They were so excited that words cannot even begin to give you the true picture of their reaction! Peyton asked Santa for a baby doll, and Logann asked for a silver bell. They also received those items, but the dollhouse took the cake! Christmas morning was wonderful. It even snowed from about 7:30 am until 1:30 pm. Mom and dad (George & Connie) arrived in the afternoon to spend a few days with us. The Millhollens came over for Christmas dinner....more pictures to follow!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was an eventful day. We woke up and saw that about 2 more inches of snow fell overnight, and by noon, another 3 inches was on the ground. We decided not to go to Lebanon. We made plans with Bob and Mary to spend the evening with them. In the meantime, Brent got a little bit of cabin fever, and decided to go outside and let his creativity get the best of him! GO DUCKS! The girls got to open their very last bag from their 25 bags of Christmas and they found baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph to finish off their new nativity set! They were super excited...Logann was able to predict a few days earlier what their last bag would contain! After the girls' naps, we loaded up and headed over to the Millhollen's to enjoy a wonderful feast of prime rib, twice baked potatoes, smokey roasted asparagus :) and all the trimmings! We came home and put the girls to bed so they could get a good night's rest in hopes that Santa would make a visit!

Here are some pictures from today (Monday).
The video was from Saturday while it was really snowing!

Snow Days!

So...in an earlier post last week, I complained about our pathetic snow fall...well, we got it this time around! We nearly have a foot of snow here in Vancouver! Erin's Christmas Presents to the girls are really being put to good use! The schedule of our days have been to wake up, eat breakfast, bundle up, play, unbundle, eat lunch, nap, bundle back up and play until dinner time! We manage to watch a Christmas cartoon here and there, and of course have popcorn and "warm chocolate cocoa" as Logann calls it! We are really having a great time! We hope you are all staying warm and cozy!
